Windham Maine is a 50.15 square mile town in Cumberland County with a population of about 17,000 and includes the Villages of South Windham and North Windham.
Windham is located beside Sebago Lake at Jordan Bay just south of Raymond ME. The Town enjoys close to 500 acres of parks and preserves for a variety of activities such as swimming, paddling, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, skateboarding and more. Windham ME also is home to the recreational waters of Sebago Lake, Little Sebago Lake, Pleasant River, Presumpscot River, Highland Lake, Forest Lake, Chaffin Pond, Collins Pond, Little Duck Pond, Mud Ponds, Pettingill Pond, and Tarkill Pond. The town is crossed by U.S. routes 202 and 302, and state routes 4, 35 and 115. It borders the towns of Standish and Gorham to the west, Westbrook to the south, Falmouth and Cumberland to the east, Gray to the northeast and Raymond to the north.
There are several roads that connect certain parts of the town, as well as to other towns, such as Pope Road (Connecting North Windham to Windham Center), River Road (main connector connecting North Windham and Westbrook), Windham Center Road (mainly crosses the town in an east-west direction, as well as connecting Windham Center to Gorham), and Falmouth Road (connects North Windham to Falmouth)
